Title: Project Manager ( Modernization Project Manager) -- NARDC5754509 Duration: 6 Months Location: Boston, MA 02110 Duration of the Contract: 6 Months Possibility for Extension: Yes Work Mode: Hybrid 2-3 days/week mandatory in office in Boston (Minimum 3 days/week mandatory in office for first 90 days) DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with the Salesforce Modernization Product Manager, Senior Project Manager, Associate Deputy Commissioner of Technology, Deputy Commissioner, external vendors & business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria and strategic alignment. Create and maintain project documentation such as project charter/scope, project plans, status reports and operational checklists. Create project work plans (dependency diagrams) & schedules including identification of resource skills necessary to deliver full project scope. Load and track project work plans & schedules in PMOs enterprise reporting tool (e.g. MS Project Online). Manage program scope, schedule, budget and resources to successfully fulfill business and technical requirements with high customer satisfaction. Facilitate technical support including architectural reviews, compliance reviews and various project artifacts. Manage project issues and risks; serve as escalation point foRisk and Issue mitigation/resolution within and other agencies ). Serve as primary point of communication between client, vendors and other Commonwealth agencies; track/manage action items in PMO system. Communicate modernization goals, objectives, schedules and functionality to development teams. Develop acceptance test plans, validate with business and drive testing/acceptance process. Ensure team access to systems, maintain team rosters and licensing access. Maintain budget spreadsheets, track vendor billing and alert senior management of discrepancies. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 5-8 years of IT project management experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects. Experience working in a project portfolio management environment involving external delivery partners and multiple software vendors. Strong issue & problem management skills including root cause analysis and troubleshooting. Masters-level knowledge of Microsoft productivity suite including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Project and/or Planner (Power BI a plus). Experience creating and implementing plans according to project goals and objectives. Working knowledge of project management concepts as defined by PMI. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and ITIL concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed environment and meet timelines. Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels including senior management. Understanding of software development lifecycle and release management methodologies. PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): Prior project management of large public sector IT projects with understanding of Client's practices, policies and budgeting. Familiarity with organizational change management including end user training. Knowledge of implementing Salesforce and/or managing large Salesforce deployments. Experience managing end-to-end software or services projects. Proven ability in both waterfall and agile technology delivery methods. Experience with contract management and vendor interaction in large-scale product or web service delivery.
