Electrician Specialist Now hiring in Santa Fe Springs, CA Compensation includes a starting range of $36.51 - $43.87/hour - paid weekly Available shifts: 2nd shift: 02:30 PM-10:30 PM 3rd shift: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM Monday-Friday Responsibilities: Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs/maintains all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process, including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grinders Troubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters, thermocouples, and heat controllers; safety circuits Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades Uses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders accurately and in a timely manner Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy Follows all Company-established rules and policies Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations Analytical, problem-solving, project management, strong technical/functional skills, customer service, interpersonal skills, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, organized, mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, detail-oriented Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalency 2-year Electro-Mechanical technical degree preferred 3-5 years related experience Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabrication Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities Must be knowledge of PLC and PC controls Prefer experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron systems Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed Novolex is committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all employment practices, including but not limited to selection, hiring, promotion, transfer, and compensation to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to age, race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, handicap or disability, genetics, citizenship status, service member or veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.
