Logistics Coordinator The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth flow of finished goods from production to customer delivery. This position plays a key role in managing inventory, coordinating transportation, supervising warehouse personnel, and serving as a critical liaison between internal departments and external customers. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of working in dynamic environments, and possesses excellent leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory. Coordinate with production, quality, accounting, and logistics teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and ensure alignment with demand planning. Generate and review inventory reports for internal stakeholders, focusing on aging inventory, inventory cycles, stocking levels, and inventory accuracy. Manage and execute cycle counts for all raw materials and finished goods. 2. Transportation Planning Coordinate with Customer Success to build loads, set appointment times, and manage the transportation planning report to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries. Work with quality and production teams to track finished goods and to ensure all materials are on-time for delivery. Collaborate with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to optimize shipping efficiency and transportation planning. Track shipments and proactively address any transportation delays or issues. 3. Logistics Coordination Facilitate movement of goods between internal facilities or departments as needed. Work closely with warehouse, production, and planning teams to align transportation schedules with operational needs. Ensure proper documentation and tracking for all internal transfers. Work with engineering to develop improved packaging options to maximize truckload capacity. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance workflow efficiency. Ensure proper documentation, inventory accuracy, and system transactions are completed correctly and on time. 4. Supervisory Responsibilities Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership for all shipping and receiving staff. Partner with the Supply Chain Manager to support employee evaluations, recognition initiatives, and corrective actions when necessary. Allocate and prioritize team workloads to ensure optimal use of labor and timely completion of tasks. Enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards across all team members. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred. 35 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or inventory coordination. Strong understanding of inventory management and transportation processes. Experience leading warehouse and logistics teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP systems, TMS, Excel, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions: This position typically operates 50% in an office environment and 50% in a warehouse. Occasional travel may be required for site visits or vendor meetings. Position Type & Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salaried position, and general hours of work are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position may require working on a weekend or holiday. Logistics Coordinator is required to participate in monthly inventory on the first day (1st) of each month, regardless of the day of the week or of designated holidays.
