Jail Property Clerk Pay is $18.87-$21.72 and is based on experience. Utah County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division Under the direction of a Corrections Sergeant, this position performs clerical and operational duties related to the intake, inventory, storage, and release of inmate property within the Utah County Security Center. Key Responsibilities: Issue jail clothing and supplies to inmates Inventory, document, and securely store inmate property and cash Maintain accurate property and commissary records Release property to inmates or authorized individuals Screen incoming/outgoing mail for contraband Process inmate funds, expenditures, and account balances Coordinate laundering and maintenance of jail-issued clothing Work Environment: Work is performed inside a secure jail facility with frequent inmate contact. The role may involve exposure to odors, loud environments, and potentially volatile situations. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
