Payroll/Accounting Specialist With Sage 100 Experience Well-established general contractor based in Mount Sinai, Suffolk County. This role is at least 2 days per week in office with 3 from home, and the successful candidate will have Sage 100 experience & 1+ year of Payroll, AP & AR experience. Job Description This role will involve you to: Process weekly in-house payroll, including direct deposits Collect and verify weekly hours from supervisors, ensuring all employee hours are accurately accounted for Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (including laborer and union reporting requirements) Complete all required union paperwork related to payroll Generate detailed payroll and accounting reports for internal review and submission to the company's accountant Assist with end-of-year financial and payroll reporting Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll regulations Accounts Receivable (A/R) Prepare and issue customer invoices Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances Maintain and reconcile accurate records of receivables Accounts Payable (A/P) Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments Maintain accurate records of payables & reconcile vendor statements Union & Benefits Administration Prepare and submit monthly union benefit reports (some submissions required weekly) Coordinate and respond to union benefit audits Manage insurance benefit reporting and related documentation MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
