GENERAL SUMMARY: Location: St. Clair Shores Schedule: Contingent - Possible hours - Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification. PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES: Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems. Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds. Repackages bulk medications. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Triages incoming calls and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
