Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be joining the Eurofins, PSS team at a client site to support physical characterization for pharmaceutical products.Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Physical testing of samples to support pharmaceutical formulation developmentData processing, interpretation and documentationCalibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipmentLaboratory support activities including weekly eye-wash checks, shipping, and chemical inventory. Qualifications: QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess: A Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience OR a Master's Degree with at least one (1) year of industrial experienceExperience with physical characterization techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman) and/or microscopyGMP experience is preferredExperience with powder characterization techniques to measure particle size, powder flow, and surface area.Experience with laboratory automation toolsExperience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel)Ability to multi-task and be self motivatedAbility to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision Additional InformationThe position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed.
