American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-volume women’s health unit. This role is ideal for a confident L&D nurse with strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced delivery environment. Schedule Details: Night shift: 7p-7a 36 hours per week No call required Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW) Float requirement: Postpartum only Will not float outside the Women’s Tower Unit Details: High-volume delivery unit with 300 deliveries per month Supportive interdisciplinary women’s health team Focused on safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care ✅ Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of current Labor & Delivery experience Experience in a high-volume delivery unit (300 deliveries/month) Current certifications required: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS ACLS NRP STABLE Compensation: Travel Pay: $44.00/hour $1,244/week tax-free stipend Local Pay: $75.00/hour Why This Opportunity: Predictable day schedule with no call Limited floating within women’s services only Competitive travel and local pay options About American Consultants Since 1989, American Consultants has been the leader in national healthcare staffing and consulting services.
