This multifaceted position involves collaborating with the HR Team and providing our employees with high level of service and support. The HR Specialist is responsible for tasks ranging from onboarding to employee relations. In addition, they are responsible for providing resources and support for timekeeping and benefits. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all HR-related activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist employees and managers with on/off boarding, benefits, timekeeping, and employee relations Daily processing of employee data in accordance with the standard operating procedures Assist with benefits, perks, and employee events and awards, and timekeeping processes Assist employees in executing tasks in our HRIS system including onboarding, terminations, pay changes, and job transfers Maintains the background check and MVR process, including auditing positions as well as notifying Manager of HR when there are background check issues or concerns Provides information and assistance to employees with Perks & Deals programs, including coordinating our employee pass process and bus voucher program Assists the recruiting team in answering recruiting inquiries Maintains and updates employee files Assists with special projects and other HR functions, including orientations, employee events, etc. Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Exercises strict confidentiality with all information including but not limited to personnel information including: wage data, medical information, performance management information, and EEO information Assist with unemployment process as directed Manages Fresh Service and Workday tasks and resolves and/or assigns requests in a timely manner Coordinates the distribution of employee mail and paychecks Processes employment verification requests that do not include wage information Provides local knowledge to appropriately aid and direct employees Attend and participate in HR Team meetings Participates in events and functions hosted by HR, creates a positive and creative atmosphere in the HR Office Other duties as needed or assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS This position sits in our HR Satellite Office at the base of the mountain and requires 2-4 years of previous admin experience. Spanish speaking a plus. Minimum 2-4 years of previous admin experience, preferably in a Human Resource environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required Database management software programs experience preferred Workday or other HRIS experience preferred Must have excellent interpersonal skills Must have excellent computer data entry skills Maintain high degree of confidentiality Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED equivalent College degree preferred not required Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range:?$23.00 - $25.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Read, write and communicate in English in a clear and professional manner; Spanish a plus Must sit for long periods of time Must be a minimum of 18 years of age While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions. Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
