Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist Bordentown, New Jersey Temp to Hire On-Site Wage negotiable W2 Posted February 24, 2026 Position Overview This position supports day-to-day vehicle transportation operations by coordinating with pickup locations, carriers, and internal teams to ensure orders move accurately and on schedule. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Place outbound calls on recorded lines to verify vehicle status, availability, and scheduling. Communicate with auction teams, carriers, and internal partners to coordinate transportation activity. Manage shared email inboxes and provide timely updates across multiple locations. Enter and process orders using internal systems while maintaining accurate records. Monitor holds, delays, and exceptions; investigate and resolve issues as they arise. Follow up with carriers daily to confirm pickups, ETAs, and re-dispatch needs. Apply transportation fees and update related documentation. Request required releases or authorizations when needed. Identify and correct order entry or data errors throughout the day. Support cost awareness and margin considerations through effective coordination. Maintain accurate location and order data within system files. Track performance metrics and assist with reporting for leadership. Help address escalations, vendor concerns, and corrective actions. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 13 years of administrative, logistics, or operations experience (automotive industry helpful). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong multitasking, organization, and customer service skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications Some college education. Experience in transportation, logistics coordination, or auction environments. Background in sales support, dispatch, or high-volume call handling.
