Senior Buyer Indirect Procurement Location: Hybrid | Onsite 4 Days per Week Overview We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Senior Buyer to oversee indirect procurement activities and ensure value across key spend categories. This role is responsible for leading sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving contract negotiations that align with organizational goals. The Senior Buyer will work closely with business partners across departments, combining analytical insight and relationship management to enhance supplier performance, identify new opportunities, and support a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Lead and support stakeholders through sourcing initiatives for assigned categories, from defining requirements to developing and executing sourcing strategies. Conduct detailed market research to evaluate suppliers, assess trends, and identify new opportunities for value creation. Cost Management & Analytics Gather and analyze cost data to develop informed negotiation strategies and identify savings opportunities. Benchmark pricing, monitor category spend, and guide decision-making using market and performance insights. Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members. Contract & Supplier Management Lead all contract lifecycle activities, including drafting, negotiation, renewal, and compliance tracking. Manage key supplier relationships, negotiating complex terms and ensuring delivery of quality, cost, and service commitments. Oversee supplier performance metrics to ensure accountability and alignment with business objectives. Operational Procurement & Compliance Use ERP systems to manage purchase orders and ensure alignment with established procurement processes. Support the procure-to-pay workflow to maintain compliance, efficiency, and operational accuracy. Provide leadership and guidance to internal partners to enhance procurement efficiency and value delivery. Supplier Relationships & Reporting Build and sustain trusted relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders. Develop and present reports and analyses that communicate performance results, risk areas, and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent) preferred. 46 years of procurement experience, with strong expertise in indirect categories. Proven success in contract negotiation, supplier management, and category strategy. Advanced analytical and market research skills, with experience evaluating cost drivers and market trends. Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems, with strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
