HR Generalist & Administrative Intern You are dedicated to learning and embrace new opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. You are responsible for performing various entry-level HR Generalist and Administrative duties. You will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, training, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. You provide the support and care to create an amazing employee experience! Accountabilities Learning - 30% You adopt a learning mindset; listening, absorbing, practicing, and applying new concepts and ideas with an open mind and positive attitude within the internship working environment. You will learn about new and changing legal requirements and government regulations affecting Human Resource functions (e.g., EEO, ERISA, Affirmative Action, Wage & Hour, and ADA) You will become familiar with organizational and industry-specific policies and procedures You will attend and participate in various HR training opportunities via conferences, webinars, observation opportunities, online trainings, etc. Recruiting/Onboarding - 20% You post positions in applicable portals and schedule interviews with appropriate parties. You complete pre-employment testing, reference, and background checks to ensure an amazing quality of hire. You assist HR Officer with New Hire Orientation preparation uploading documents into Onboarding system, assembling New Hire Binders, and scheduling departmental training sessions. Participate in New Hire Orientation. Administrative Tasks - 20% You will perform administrative tasks in the Human Resources and Compliance Departments as needed. Tasks may include document updates, organization of files, etc. Benefit Administration - 10% You schedule and participate in meetings with New Hire and HR Officer to review benefits, enroll new hires and others in benefit portals as applicable. You will have the opportunity to observe and participate in the Wellness Committee Timekeeping Management - 10% You assist HR Officer with bi-weekly timecard review, exporting timecards, and running various reports. Other - 10% You comply with organization policies, systems, process, and procedures with a strong commitment to the overall direction and focus of the organization. You complete any special projects assigned by HR Department You may assist the Compliance department with various projects as assigned. As a part of the overall team of bank employees, you may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities. You are currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in High School and on-track to graduate on time OR You have a High School Diploma or equivalent AND You are attending an accredited college/university, and pursuing a degree in an industry-related field You have the ability to maintain confidential information You have the skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills and utilization of office equipment While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc. You have the ability to operate a computer, carry, handle, and feel objects; reach with hands and arms; communicate effectively and efficiently in person and over the phone. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. You have the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
