Administrative Associate II (S) To provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of our greatest asset OUR EMPLOYEES. This is a temporary position, and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located at 1417 N Church St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804- Nash County, with the Department of Transportation. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.25 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed in the class specification. Position located in the Central Issuance Verification Unit verify the lawful status, authenticity, and validity of state driver license and identification card applications by verifying and validating the documents presented at the time of application. Management Preferences: Require daily communication with the general public, driver license examiners, Driver License Help Desk, other State agencies, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) via telephone, email, and correspondence to determine issuance eligibility for NC identification. Positions utilize systems such as SADLS, NDR, SAVE, and CDLIS. Reviewing customer records, verifying U.S.Passports, closing Systematic Alien Verification of Entitlement (SAVE) cases, and completing daily reports. Minimum Education and Experience: High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
