Position Purpose: The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets by preventing financial losses due to theft and fraud, all while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This position focuses on specific store(s) to foster a culture of loss prevention and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include: Utilizing a variety of tools to mitigate losses, including identifying instances of theft and fraud. Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports to detect suspicious activity. Monitoring the physical security measures in place at the store. Conducting audits of Electronic Article Surveillance systems. Documenting apprehensions and recoveries through accurate and detailed case reports. Preserving evidence and collaborating with law enforcement as necessary. Preparing for and potentially testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings. Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty to promote a safe work environment. Carrying out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk to oneself and others, including associates, vendors, and customers. Demonstrating integrity and professionalism while responding to asset protection and operational issues.
