Providing expert physical therapy care in an acute care hospital setting requires specialized skills and dedication. This contract opportunity in Salem, IL seeks a Physical Therapist with acute care experience to deliver high-quality patient rehabilitation services. The role supports patients recovering from illness or injury, ensuring mobility and function are restored efficiently within a dynamic hospital environment. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year acute care physical therapy experience Current state PT license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system Preferred experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting Ability to comply with fit testing requirements (including being clean-shaven for mask seal) Schedule & Hours: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) Friday, Saturday, Sunday plus one additional weekday Participation in on-call rotation approximately every 7 weeks Holiday rotation: one holiday per year Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments in an acute care setting Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized patient care plans Document and update patient progress accurately using Epic software Adhere to infection control protocols, including fit testing and PPE compliance Maintain professional appearance following dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs or khakis with lab coat Location Overview - Salem, Illinois: Salem is a welcoming community nestled in southern Illinois, known for its friendly atmosphere and proximity to recreational parks and local attractions.
