IRC (International Rescue Committee) Deutschland sucht einen Procurement Assistant (D/W/M) As Parental Leave Substitute in Berlin, or Germany-wide remote | starting June 1, 2026 in part-time or full-time (32-40 hrs/week) | initially limited until July 31, 2027 About Us International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international aid organization founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein. Since then, IRC has supported people affected by political crises, war, persecution or natural disasters. In 2016, IRC Deutschland was founded and is engaged nationwide in the areas of education, career & orientation as well as protection, legal advice and participation. The position is located in the Procurement Team, which is part of the Operations Department of IRC Deutschland. The team is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for our programs and locations in Germany and ensures that all processes run efficiently, transparently and in accordance with regulations. As part of the Operations area, you will work closely with finance, programs and IT to ensure smooth and demand-oriented supply for our humanitarian work. Your Role As a Procurement Assistant, you will support procurement processes for IRC-Deutschland locations as well as for our teleworking employees. Your responsibilities include: Supporting the teams of IRC Deutschland in procurements in compliance with all IRC and donor requirements. Creating and editing purchase requests and maintaining accurate data in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365). Maintaining supplier master data and product information in the ERP system. Obtaining quotes, communicating with suppliers and clarifying queries. Carrying out and following up the entire procure-to-pay process in close cooperation with finance and other departments. Managing and monitoring the procurement mailbox as well as documenting supplier services and documents. Identifying compliance risks, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and taking on further tasks as needed. The position reports to the Procurement Manager; it does not involve management responsibilities. Your Profile At least one year of professional experience in procurement, office management or a comparable administrative role. Completed vocational training or a higher education/bachelor's degree in a relevant field is advantageous. German and English language skills at B2-C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as common email and internet applications. Communication skills and the ability to work structured, responsible and both independently and in a team. Knowledge of working with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, is advantageous. Good knowledge of common procurement processes, ideally in the NGO or public sector, is advantageous.
