Primary Receptionist Job Category: Administrative-Clerical Requisition Number: PRIMA036543 Posted: March 4, 2026 Full-Time On-site Oxford Surgery Center Oxford, MS 38655, USA Description Job Title: Receptionist M-F 8:30am-5:00pm General Summary Of Duties: Provides support to administrative office staff assuring a smooth departmental work flow. Responsible for performing daily tasks such as sorting mail, answering phone and routing incoming calls, filing, copying, data entry, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal. Relieves office staff of clerical work, and minor administrative and business detail. Essential Job Functions: 1. Answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information and taking messages 2. Interact with all levels of management 3. Make bank deposits when needed 4. Meet and greet visitors entering the office, determine the nature of purpose of visit, and direct or escort them accordingly 5. Keep reception area neat 6. Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail 7. Prepare paper charts for future dates of service 8. Verify accuracy of scheduling to patient's procedures as patients check in 9. Collect patient responsibilities 10. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High School Diploma required. Associate's degree preferred. Two or more years of medical office experience required.
