Master Jeweler The Master Jeweler is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Jewelers Shop. He/she will do the custom work that needs to be done to drive store revenue as well as perform basic sizing, soldering & prong setting in gold, platinum and palladium. They will also be responsible for servicing customer's needs with respect to POMSP/ JSP, cleanings and Lifetime Warranty Check-up in an immediate, positive and caring manner. He/she will be responsible for conducting opening/closing/scheduled maintenance for jeweler's room and shop equipment while progressively advancing jewelry repair & manufacturing techniques. He/she must comply with safe work practices when handling hazardous materials and waste inside the jeweler's room and within the store. He/she will do the ordering for materials and tools needed to keep the shop running and stay within the allotted budget. The Master Jeweler works closely with the General Manager/Business Service Manager to achieve store objectives and is responsible for modeling, support and adherence to company values. Jewelry Repair Performs custom work that needs to be done to drive store revenue. Performs basic sizing, soldering & prong setting in gold, platinum, and palladium. Finish repairs in assistance of the jewelry repair team. Guest Service Services guests needs with respect to POMSP/JSP, Cleanings and Warranty Check-up in an immediate, positive, and caring manner. Assists store staff with basic guest inquiries. Security Maintains constant awareness of security issues involved in operating a store and jewelry repair shop. Follows procedures & guidelines for handling merchandise. Follows procedures and guidelines for opening/closing the store. Shop Maintenance Responsible for conducting opening/closing/scheduled maintenance for shop equipment Maintains a clean, aesthetically pleasing shop environment; including general housekeeping of the entire shop as needed Ordering materials and tools needs to keep the shop running daily Responsible for maintaining the MSDS binders in their shop in order to ensure we are compliment with governing bodies outside of Robbins Brothers Must know how to safely handle hazardous chemicals; include assisting with hazardous waste spills and clean up. Education Responsible for completing assigned training; including working with hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste. Responsible for becoming proficient in progressively advancing jewelry repair & manufacturing techniques Responsible for training all bench jewelers in their shop. Responsible for bench jewelers adhering to company policies and general safe working practices at all times while inside the shop.
