Key Responsibilities: Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to: Performing wreckage salvage operations and executing underwater repairs. Conducting clearance operations in harbors and waterways. Assisting in construction and demolition projects. Executing search and rescue missions to save lives. Participating in deep submergence operations and saturation diving, working at extreme depths for extended periods. Launching and recovering SEAL delivered vehicles from submarines. Qualifications and Requirements: No college degree is necessary to become an Underwater Operations Specialist, but you will need to demonstrate: Strong mental and physical fortitude. Specific eyesight requirements: 20/40 best eye; 20/70 worst eye; correctable to 20/25. A minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score. Be 30 years of age or younger.
