Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Secretary Date Posted: 3/4/2026 Location: Tax Office Primary Purpose: Under minimal supervision assist with the processing of district property taxes following established procedures for collection of tax revenue. Provide clerical services to the tax assessor/collector. Qualifications: Education/Certification High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and do word processing Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience Clerical experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Accounting Process tax payment transactions and post deposits. Request and reconcile payment for office bills. Data Entry Input tax data. Reconcile credit card tax payments. Records and Reports Assist Tax Assessor/Collector during creation of annual tax rolls. Prepare and send tax statements, notices, and receipts as directed. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required. Other Assistance taxpayers and other members of the public. Maintain effective rapport with general public and handle any problems or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner. Prepare correspondence, forms, requisitions, and reports for tax office. Answer incoming calls, take messages, assist with ISD property tax inquires. Handle questions and requests that fall within level of responsibility. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Salary: The salary for the above position will be based on the salary schedule currently in effect by Board Policy and Administrative Regulations. $18.85 - $26.83 (pay will commensurate with experience) 240 days
