The Lead Therapist is responsible for role modeling for the therapist following the established standards of care, mental health practice, and facility policy, goals, and objectives. This position contributes to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and educational and quality improvement efforts while guiding the Program Therapists and supervising the provision of clinical services through performance audits and reviews. Provide clinical supervision of social work staff, inpatient, and outpatient services. Duties and responsibilities: Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and support groups. Continue professional development in individual, family, and group therapy and maintain professional development in personnel files. Conduct individual/couples/family counseling on scheduled timetables. Comply with required standards for medical/legal reporting situations (i.e., child abuse, dependent adult abuse, psychiatric commitment). As requested, represent the facility at legal hearings, promptly submit paperwork for legal holds, and liaise with the conservator's office. Assess and identify the psychosocial, educational, developmental, and behavioral functioning of the patient/family system through established case-finding mechanisms. Demonstrate knowledge of biopsychosocial factors and DSM-IV related to the ages of the patients served and incorporate the knowledge base into the treatment plan. Assigns and directs other personnel to implement the nursing care plans and verifies this care through direct observation and chart review. Your Experience Matters What we're looking for: Education: Master's Degree specializing in social work or a clinical-related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility. Licensure: Current LPC, LPCP, LSW, LCSW, LMFT issued by the State of Georgia. Additional Requirements: Completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission and CMS standards for patient care related to treatment care planning, discharge planning, psycho-socials, and patient care. OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements. Compensation: This is a Full-Time, exemptrole, and the expected compensation range is $47,000.00 to $55,000.00 annually. The sign-on bonus for full-time employment is $1,500.00, and for part-time employment, it is $500.00.
