Loader The Loader is responsible for filling warehouse orders by stock picking and skidding batteries with a forklift. This position will manually load delivery trucks with batteries and accessories to meet sales order requirements and customer needs. Specific responsibilities include: Responsible for reading daily shipping schedule, pulling orders from storage racks and determining how trucks must be loaded to distribute weight evenly on trailer. Check shipping documents to be sure load and paperwork are correct. Load trailer, including block and bracing. Off load Crown trucks, separate returns, check of SRP, weight scrap and record weights and warehouse location. Reload truck for next day's delivery, check outbound mail boxes for any outgoing mail for loads. Complete bill of landing and be sure loads are complete and loaded properly. Assist Sales and Service Department as required. Is responsible for: Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel Controlling non-conforming products Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions Performs inventories and empties middle room when needed. Responsible for SLI and Industrial scrap inventories. Familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives. Removes inventory from middle room and finish line. Responsible for performing weekly and monthly inventory. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
