Job Title Responsible for all aspects of patient tray assembly and delivery to and from patients/residents floors and to the bedside. Completes dish room assignments. Maintains work areas in a clean and sanitized condition. Cleans work area after use. Prepares food items such as nourishment and snacks, sandwiches, pureed items salad plates, appetizers and desserts. Acts as a liaison between the Patient, Food and Nutrition Department and Nursing Services during meal times for the communications of all patient/resident food needs. Performs a variety of tasks, which relate to the transfer of information concerning patient/resident diet, meal selections, and preference including menu distribution and retrieval. May be trained to do diet modifications. May complete the duties of a Lead Hospitality Associate. Completes other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School or GED required Experience: 1-2 yrs. Host/Hostess and/or Diet Tech experience preferred. Experience collecting/correcting patient menus desirable. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written effectively. Ability to work well under time constraints.
