Purpose of Job: The Human Resources Generalist II will contribute to an employee-orientated, high-performance culture and formulate partnerships across HR functions to deliver value-added services to Admin, Regional Teams, and employees that reflect the objects of GOAL Academy. This role will assist the Human Resources Department with ad hoc projects to include on/off boarding, training, staffing, recruitment, retention, compensation, reporting, compliance and collaboration with Finance for HR/Payroll support. Primary focus includes providing backup support within staffing/recruitment, leaves, and benefits management. Provides exceptional Customer Service to all stakeholders. Maintains and monitors data within HR information systems. Supports the design of new and existing systems to support GOAL HR Information as well as helping maintain employee system experience. Works closely with the Sr. HR Specialist to support day-to-day recruitment and staffing responsibilities. Lead all internal and external employee surveys. File and maintain electronic employee personnel files. Gather and analyze data for HR reporting, i.e., time to hire, turnover reports, D49 annual report, stay/exit interviews data, retention data, head count data. Respond to unemployment claims in a timely manner. Employment verifications. Employee Compensation letters. Provides backup and support to the other HR Generalists and HR Specialist Leaves by assisting with the distribution of FMLA, ADA, and Title IX-related paperwork. New Hire Orientation. Maintain databases regarding personnel issues and changes. Assisting in reporting all changes to payroll, including but not limited to transfers, terminations, and resignations. Provide reports as needed, complete annual 'roll' of employee information. Monitor and respond to time-sensitive HR communications, including unemployment insurance (UI) claims, employment verification requests, and other critical correspondence, during scheduled school breaks, as operational needs require. Communicate with administrative personnel regarding changes and deadlines. Maintain up-to-date, accurate, effective, and efficient record keeping procedures. Share responsibility with other HR Generalists to check and respond to HR emails, including unemployment claims and employment verifications, during scheduled school breaks to ensure timely handling. Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with staff and community. Serves as the lead and primary point of contact for HRIS program conversions and related system implementation activities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Ethical, honest, and good-humored Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must reside in Colorado Must possess a valid Driver's License High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree and training from an accredited college or university preferred. PHR certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resource department in a multi-site organization. Experience in educational settings is preferred.
