This vital role will be responsible for leading the estimating process and managing the pre-construction phase of various commercial projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors, utilizing their expertise in cost estimation and project planning to ensure the successful execution of each project. You will be tasked with reviewing project plans, specifications, and other pertinent documents to provide accurate and competitive estimates, while also assisting in proposal development and pre-construction strategy. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Perform detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and project timelines for commercial construction projects. Review and analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate take-offs. Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project scopes and strategies. Prepare, maintain, and update cost estimation databases and standard procedures for estimating. Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids and quotations. Lead pre-construction meetings, ensuring clear communication among all project stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for client meetings. Monitor market trends, collaborate with vendors, and review historical data to improve estimation practices. Utilize software tools for estimating, scheduling and project management to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Support the project lifecycle from initial estimate through project closeout, ensuring compliance with budget and schedules.
