An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical experience to contribute to patient care on an adult Medical-Surgical unit. This contract role begins April 6 and is situated in New Hartford, NY, offering a dynamic work environment focused on post-surgical patient recovery and comprehensive adult care. Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgeries, including management of abdominal pain, fractures, osteoarthritis, bariatric procedures, and related conditions. Utilize specialty equipment such as IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes to support patient treatment plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. Adhere to unit protocols with flexibility for floating assignments as scheduled. Support patient monitoring and documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Work scheduled shifts of 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with block scheduling subject to availability. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active New York RN license with a minimum of 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical nursing. Proven travel nursing experience, with documentation included at the time of submission. Current AHA Basic Life Support certification. Experience and comfort working with EPIC EMR. Ability to handle specialty equipment and patient care complexity typical to adult medical-surgical patients. Possess a drivers license with an address that corresponds to local demographics (within 75 miles). Up-to-date NURSYS license verification and matching RTO documentation included upon application.
