A full-time Registered Nurse opportunity is available to support the health and wellness needs of middle school students in Boston, MA. This position involves working directly in a school health office during the typical school year, providing essential nursing services that promote the safety and well-being of the student population. The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, starting March 27th through the end of the school year. This position is contract-to-hire, offering a valuable chance to demonstrate skills and potentially transition to a permanent role. Key Responsibilities: Providing routine health assessments and first aid to students Managing medication administration and health plans in compliance with school policies Collaborating with school staff to create a safe and supportive environment Responding to health emergencies and coordinating necessary care Maintaining accurate student health records and documentation Offering health education and guidance to students and staff as needed Qualifications and Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for the state Experience working in a school or pediatric environment preferred Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with middle school-aged children Knowledge of school health policies and state regulations Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of students while working in a structured, supportive educational setting.
