Job Description We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Southwestern New York. The facility reached out with an immediate need, and while details are still being finalized, we anticipate 8-hour day shifts and highly competitive daily pay. Key Details Location: Southwestern New York Position: Medical Oncologist (Locum Tenens) Schedule: Anticipated 8-hour day shifts Compensation: $4,500 per day (with some flexibility for the right candidate) Start Date: As soon as possible Benefits Excellent daily compensation Travel and lodging support for non-local providers Assignment details being finalized - input from interested providers may help shape scheduling options Collaborative clinical environment Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive oncology care for inpatient and outpatient cases Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage oncology treatment plans Participate in consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing patient management Document care accurately within EMR systems Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology Active New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain) Prior locum tenens or hospital-based oncology experience preferred Working Hours Anticipated 8-hour day shifts Skills Strong oncology care expertise Excellent teamwork and communication skills Patient-centered approach to care
