We're now looking for a Production Scheduling Coordinator to play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly at our Longhini Sausage facility in New Haven, CT. As our Production Scheduling Coordinator, you'll be the connector between demand and executionensuring the right products are made at the right time, with the right resources. Production Planning & Scheduling Build and manage daily and weekly production schedules aligned to orders, forecasts, inventory, and plant capacity Issue daily work orders and sequencing plans for production teams Adjust schedules in real time to respond to labor, materials, or operational changes Inventory & Materials Coordination Partner with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure raw materials and packaging are available Balance inventory to avoid shortages, overproduction, or excess finished goods Support BOM accuracy to improve forecasting and material planning Cross-Functional Collaboration Communicate daily priorities, changes, and risks to production and warehouse teams Align with Sales and Customer Service on customer delivery commitments Coordinate with QA and Maintenance to account for sanitation, downtime, and equipment availability Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain schedules, capacity plans, and work orders in ERP systems Track schedule adherence, downtime, and yields Prepare daily and weekly production status reports for plant leadership Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, labor utilization, and efficiency What success looks like: Accurate schedules that support on-time, in-full customer orders Minimal downtime due to scheduling or material gaps Strong collaboration across Production, Warehouse, Procurement, QA, and Sales Continuous improvements in efficiency, inventory accuracy, and labor utilization What we're looking for: Experience & Education High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred 23 years of production scheduling or planning experience (food manufacturing strongly preferred) Skills Strong proficiency with ERP systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Excel Understanding of inventory management and production workflows Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-moving, USDA-regulated environment Work details: Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM (Flexibility for occasional early mornings or weekends as production needs arise) Location: Onsite at the Longhini Sausage facility, New Haven, CT Environment: Office-based with frequent time on the production floor Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the plant Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Exposure to refrigerated areas and manufacturing noise Compliance with PPE and food safety standards Why Village Gourmet?
