Cargo Handler Location: Hudson, Massachusetts Pay: $18.10 per hour Shift: Admin: Monday Friday Cargo: 4:00 AM start time 810 hour shifts Must be open and available for overtime Position Overview We are currently seeking dependable, career-oriented individuals to join a fast-paced dock and shipping operation. As a Cargo Handler, you will play a key role in safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards within the distribution network. All necessary training and materials are provided. Core Responsibilities Load and unload 53-ft commercial trailers in a safe and timely manner Operate handheld scanners to track and maneuver freight Accurately label boxes and prepare freight for shipment Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts Obtain forklift certification and safely operate equipment as required Verify freight documentation and inspect condition of shipments Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs Occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 lbs Maintain a clean and safe working environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment Must be flexible to work weekends and extended hours as needed Previous forklift and general freight handling experience preferred Pre-Employment Requirements E-Verify employment authorization verification Background check Drug test Employment verification #ZR
