Security Officer - Day Shift The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third party contractors on the grounds. Primary Job Duties: Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property. Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls. Delivers packages internally received via third party vendor or regular USPS (FedEx, Amazon, UPS, etc.) to residents, department specific and key employees. Assist with keeping the front area of the community clean (i.e. shovels snow+ice, etc.) and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. Performs light maintenance duties as time allows ( i.e. changing light bulbs, light plumbing, etc.) Vantage Point Hospitality Promises: We greet residents, employees and guests warmly, by name and with a smile. Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. One year experience in security preferred. Wears appropriate non-slip footwear. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); ability to lift 50 pounds; ability to walk 90% of the workday; ability to stoop and stretch occasionally; may be exposed to the HBV and HIV virus. Salary Range: $17/hr - $18/hr
