Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Corporate Controller with a strong leadership background to join our accounting team. In this position, you will supervise all accounting and financial functions at Continuant. You will engage with the CFO, the Director of Finance, and other key organizational leaders to oversee all accounting functions, assess and implement financial policies, perform financial risk assessments, and prepare annual budgets and forecasts. You will also effectively lead and mentor the accounting team. What you'll do: Guide organizational financial decisions by developing and monitoring policies and procedures. Evaluate and enhance financial controls and tax return procedures. Analyze and interpret balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and liabilities. Perform internal audits and financial risk assessments and facilitate intervention strategies. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and reports, and review journal entries and account reconciliation. Lead the monthly closing processes, billing, invoicing, expenses, reimbursements, and payroll administration. Maximize returns on excess cash balances and improve closing and reporting cycles. Coordinate and record investments and maintain fixed asset records. Oversee and provide leadership and direction to financial and accounting staff. Document processes as needed and ensure compliance with financial management and accounting regulations. What You Need to be Successful: CPA and/or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years' experience leading and managing an accounting team Minimum 5 years' experience at a national or regional public accounting firm or equivalent role at medium/large company. Advanced competency in financial management and accounting software In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations Extensive experience in corporate finance, auditing, and performance management. Organizational and time management abilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
