This opportunity calls for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with a solid background in interventional cardiology and peripheral procedures. The role is based in Gonzales, LA, offering a dynamic contract position within a leading medical center renowned for advanced cardiovascular care. Key Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; no first-time travelers. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), and LSRTBE state license (temporary license applications must be submitted promptly). Proficient in embolization, coiling, ablations, and implant procedures including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs. Skilled with devices including Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy tools. Experienced in STEMI care focusing on rapid door-to-balloon times under 60 minutes. Capable of performing peripheral and electrophysiology procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team. Responsibilities: Perform a range of cardiac, peripheral, vascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures using advanced technology. Maintain high standards in patient care and procedural accuracy. Support the STEMI Code team to ensure top-tier emergency cardiac care. Participate in on-call rotation, responding within 30 minutes when called. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Weekend coverage every other weekend. On-call duties up to three times per week, including weekends. Work Environment: The cardiac catheterization lab features cutting-edge equipment such as Impella, IABP, and advanced imaging systems from Siemens and Cannon. The team utilizes EPIC with Cupid for thorough clinical documentation. The unit maintains highly efficient STEMI management with leading door-to-balloon times.
