The IG Associate is a point of leverage for the Institutional Group's team of experienced sales professionals. The IG Associate adds value in three primary ways: Under the guidance of Sales team leads, the IG Associate works directly with accounts on executing trade strategies and developing new relationships. Working independently, the IG Associate applies his/her knowledge of the IG client base to identify promising fixed income security trade opportunities, collaborating with the trade desk and other internal sales members, The IG Associate works directly with clients to present and determine alternatives that would otherwise have gone unnoticed, creating unique trade opportunities. Through his/her work, the IG Associate creates capacity for the IG salespeople to dedicate focus to building additional relationships with new and existing clientele. This role will be onsite and based in our New York office. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the following: Serving as a resource to both IG staff and customers in responding to a wide range of day-to-day inquiries. Extracting and analyzing financial transaction data and portfolio holdings to identify trade opportunities for Institutional Group salespeople. Strengthening existing internal relationships through consistent daily engagement and regular client entertainment. Identifying and vetting new potential accounts. Operating as a liaison to other internal departments such as trade operations, legal and compliance. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, economics, or other quantitative field. 4+ years full time experience in a fixed income financial services environment such as banking, insurance, commercial real estate, or consumer finance. Entrepreneurial spirit: self-starter who embraces change and the challenge to innovate that comes with it, and able to grow increasingly independent as s/he gains experience. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey insights to diverse audiences and quickly build rapport with clients, management, and peers. Quantitative problem-solver and analytical thinker who can draw conclusions from multiple data sources. Experience using Bloomberg financial tools required; exposure to other repositories of financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Individual of high integrity who is intellectually curious, passionate, and results-driven. Possesses strong learning agility, has a passion for growing their understanding of complex fixed-income investment vehicles, and is able to demonstrate superior data analysis skills. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
