Key Qualifications and Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials preferred. Demonstrated experience in adult critical care settings, including ER and ICU environments. Willingness to obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and State of West Virginia respiratory licensure. Competence in administering breathing treatments, ventilator management, ABG collection and analysis, and performing EKGs in both inpatient and outpatient contexts. Ability to assist with intubations and manage multiple ventilated patients concurrently. Willingness to be cross-trained in pediatric respiratory care to support the pediatric inpatient and family birthing units. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory therapy across inpatient units, emergency department, and procedural settings. Manage ventilator support for critically ill patients, often handling multiple ventilators in the ICU. Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, ensuring accurate respiratory assessment. Perform inpatient and outpatient EKGs as needed. Collaborate with supervisory staff and respiratory leads for clinical guidance and support. Adhere to established scheduling, including 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage. Work Schedule: Twelve-hour night shifts (1845 - 0715), with weekend work scheduled. Holiday shifts required if falling on a scheduled workday. No on-call or standby responsibilities.
