Maintenance Assistant - Full-Time Yorkview Nursing and Rehab | York, PA Yorkview Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in York, PA. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and facility upkeep tasks. Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday with a rotating on-call schedule Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and general upkeep Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and minor construction repairs as directed Replace burned-out bulbs and maintain lighting fixtures, including exit and overhead lights Move furniture and equipment as needed to complete maintenance assignments Coordinate maintenance work with nursing staff when working in resident care areas Assist with terminal cleaning of resident rooms following discharge, transfer, or other circumstances Maintain facility grounds, including parking areas and walkways, by sweeping, trimming, and general upkeep Support the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure proper operation of machinery and facility equipment Follow established maintenance policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance requests as needed Participate in rotating on-call coverage, including occasional weekends and holidays Qualifications Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, materials, and equipment Ability to perform general repairs and routine facility upkeep Familiarity with cleaning materials and safety practices Benefits We offer a comprehensive and affordable benefits package, including: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, and Vision coverage Telemedicine Program Company-Paid Group Life Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Planned Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick) Benefits, as well as bonuses and variable compensation plans, are based on applicable state law and factors such as pay classification (full-time, part-time, or casual), job grade, location, and length of service
