As scheduled by management.Days of Work: Variable.Note: The hours of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and are subject to change by management as required Minimum Experience – 1-2 years' experience and/or trainingExperience with heavy tools and work in an outside environmentValid Driver's License, CDL preferred Participate in group discussions including unit meetings, job briefings, safety meetings or process reviewsRemove and replace track and track components (e.g. ties, rails, bars, etc.)Replace or repair track switches with specific componentsSlide and align tie platesDrill holes through rails for insertion of bolts and tighten or loosen bolts at joints that hold ends or rails togetherCorrect deviations in track surface, alignment and gaugeCut rails to specific lengthsReceive instructions, requests, orders, and information from posted bulletins, memorandums, rules and regulation manualsAdjust, lift and roll railsSort track material for loading and unloadingInstall and repair street and railroad crossingsCut brush and vegetation from the right-of-waySpray switches, angle bars and joints with oil for lubrication
