Multi-million dollar manufacturing experience within a well-known organization Flexible working environment About Our Client I'm partnered with the CFO at a global, multi-million dollar food & beverage manufacturing company near Lombard, IL. The company is growing through strategic acquisitions to grow their Accounting team and are now seeking to add a Controller to their team. This client is a market leader in their space, utilized by some of the biggest names in the industry. As the Controller, you will have the opportunity to lead their entire accounting team and drive process improvements. Job Description Controller Responsibilities: Responsible for the month-end close process, focusing on process improvements to speed up the close process, automate it, and minimize errors. Lead the effort to reduce the close process from 8-10 days to 5 days. Hands-on involvement in the close process, including booking journal entries, bank reconciliations, and other tasks.Work with the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory tracking and conduct inventory cycle counts. Collaborate with the warehouse to understand raw materials inventory, inventory usage, and ensure accurate inventory records. Manage the cost accounting function and provide support to the pricing team. Manage the relationship with the external tax advisor, communicating with them and requesting necessary information.
