Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Primary function of role is to be familiar with and have the ability to perform assignments related to inbound logistics, dock to dock inventory location controls, and outbound logistics; Main focus areas are to interface with the inventory control system through Legacy system, to quote customer's equipmentPosition required to be updated on all PSI Program changes; Be updated to be in compliance with both Anexo 24 and Article 303 to develop a workable and effective strategy with reasonable care and due diligence to avoid exposure to serious penalties, fines, or the loss of import privilegesMaintain a continuous communication with the U.S. Warehouse and the Shipping department to verify that the imported/exported goods are properly documentedMaintain a continuous communication with the Freight Companies to assure the pick up of shipments in a timely manner Keeps parts (raw materials) on PSI data base updated with costs information Keep a daily report on all Import/Export movements (departure and arrival times, red light inspections etc.)Strict Follow-up on all Import/Export shipments from the time they leave the Plant/U.S. Warehouse to their destination; Keep involved parties (U.S. Warehouse, Shipping Department, Production, Immediate Supervisor and Plant manager informedKeep a strict control on Truck Safety Seals (Follow C-TPAT requirements) Elaboration of Imported and Exported Equipment Reports for Accounting Department needs (Monthly Statistics Report for SECON); Elaboration of Annual Operations Report for SECON Inspects product based on quality checklist, notifies supervisor of any discrepancies; Records inventory transactionsMakes routine adjustments to work area machines or systems BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent 0-1 years of related experience Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision required Ability to read and understand routine written procedures, notices, bulletins, etc. that are directed to all individuals in a defined work area on a regular or frequent basis Demonstrated the ability to coordinate one's efforts to achieve group objectives and works with the group to reach joint decisions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills with written and oral communications abilities to influence and motivate others required for higher levels of position Logistics knowledge/experience preferred Comments for Suppliers: Max bill rate:The hours are Mon-Fri, work hours are 7:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m. no hybrid work, on site---address: 15370 B, Houston, TX 77032 Any specific industry experience you are hoping this candidate to have?: Fork lift experience but we are willing to train List 3 most important skills/qualifications you MUST see in your candidates?: Able to operate a forklift, computer literate, work independently Client providing laptop (Y/N): Yes Visa holders permitted (Y/N): yes Will this position support a government client/contract?
