Job Summary The San Luis Coastal Unified School District is looking for a full-time Secondary Principal's Assistant for San Luis Obispo High School. Secondary Principal's Assistants in our District perform highly responsible and complex secretarial duties in support of a Principal; serve as clerical lead at the school site; disseminate information and provide assistance to staff, parents, students, and community members; and perform related duties as assigned. Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 1 signed letter from a professional reference (preferably drafted within the past two years, and on letterhead)) Resume Comments and Other Information PURPOSE: To fill a current vacancy at San Luis Obispo High School, and to establish an eligibility list for vacancies that may occur over a six month period. WORK YEAR: 245 work days/year + 15 paid holidays; 8.0 hours/day; 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday. Fingerprint and TB clearances will be required prior to start date. EXAM INFORMATION: March 30, 2026: Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents will proceed to the exam on this date. March 30, 2026: Candidates who pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher may be invited to attend an oral board assessment, planned for the same day as the exam, in the afternoon. Depending on the number of qualified candidates, Human Resources may only invite candidates with the top scores. Date TBD: Candidates must pass oral board interviews with a score of 70 or higher to be added to the eligibility list. The top three ranks of candidates after the exam and oral board assessments will be invited to a hiring interview.
