A healthcare facility in Alturas, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to direct and manage physical therapy services under the guidance of the therapy department director. Key Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in physical therapy preferred. Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in California. Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and related disease processes. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Expertise in infection control, sterile techniques, and rehabilitation equipment use and maintenance. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels with a professional and accountable approach. Primary Responsibilities: Direct and supervise the physical therapy department operations, including budgeting and performance activities. Conduct patient assessments, plan treatments, and reassess for various patient populations, including neonates to geriatrics. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintain accurate records, timely documentation, and ensure patient charges are processed correctly. Participate actively in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and safety protocols. Provide staff training and contribute to departmental development and equipment management.
