Position Purpose: As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in the food supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries of food and related products to our customers while building lasting relationships with them. You will be responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road (OTR) routes, shuttle, and overnight deliveries, all in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Your Primary Responsibilities: Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve company goals. Conduct pre/post trip safety checks and inspections of your vehicle, adhering to DOT regulations. Report any safety issues or required repairs. Follow all company safe driving guidelines and DOT regulations. Inspect the trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and secured. Perform item count checks and verify loaded products against customer invoices. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly. Deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route schedule. Unload products, taking them to designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks and handle returns according to company policy. Verify deliveries with customers and obtain necessary signatures. Collect payments where required and secure the trailer doors upon loading returns. Ensure the security of the tractor, trailer, and freight. Complete daily logs and comply with all Federal DOT, state, and company requirements. Maintain cleanliness in the truck and loading dock area. Complete all necessary end-of-shift paperwork. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 12+ months of commercial driving experience. Valid CDL-A license. Aged 21 or older. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years. Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check. Successfully complete a road test. Must have a valid DOT Health Card or be capable of acquiring one. Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to handle product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds.
