The Opportunity The Mid-Level Life Solutions Consultant plays a vital role in ensuring our members' financial security by assessing their life insurance needs, providing tailored advice, and making personalized recommendations that align with their unique goals. You will also provide assistance with Health Solutions acquisition and retention based on member demand. This position requires you to be in the office 5 days per week, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule after 6 months. The role is based at the Phoenix, AZ Campus. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position. What you'll do: Handle requests for advice from current and prospective members through various communication channels, including inbound and outbound calls, emails, and video telephony. Engage with members to uncover key information related to their life events and needs, documenting relevant details. Evaluate and understand members' financial situations and long-term goals, identifying significant life events. Develop effective life insurance strategies based on individual member needs, offering protection planning advice that includes insurance, estate planning, and options like long-term care products. Recommend suitable life insurance products and connect members in need of deeper financial advice to the appropriate department. Encourage members to take action on recommendations and address any objections using persuasive communication skills. Stay informed about legislative initiatives that may impact the economy and personal finances. Educate members on economic trends, industry changes, and USAA's offerings. Make follow-up calls to support members in acquiring products and services discussed. Act as a resource for less experienced team members, helping to resolve routine issues and providing guidance. Work Hours: Monday - Friday / 6:30 am - 6:00 pm (MST) An 8-hour shift will fall within these hours. In-office presence is required, with potential for hybrid work after 6 months. What you have: High School diploma or GED Current Life/Health license Completion of AHIP and Broker/Carrier appointments as needed annually 2 years of financial industry or life sales experience Strong skills in written and oral communication Able to acquire and apply new concepts effectively Experience in processing and analyzing information Ability to fulfill requests and meet deadlines Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation Comfortable with multitasking in a systems environment Experience in team participation or leadership Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required What sets you apart: 4+ years of Sales experience in life insurance 1+ years of experience in a call center environment CLU - Chartered Life Underwriter or similar designation Military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $62,470.00 - $105,420.00. Compensation: At USAA, we maintain a competitive pay system based on market data and individual experience. Actual salary may vary depending on your location.
