Job Description

Under the general direction of the Office Services Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs, as well as general office and mailroom support. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Position Responsibilities:Handyman skills (i.e. familiar with power tools, measuring and cutting materials, basic electrical knowledge a plus) Complete work orders, miscellaneous repairs, and report to the Office Supervisor upon completion. Play an active member of the Safety Committee team. Supports office staff as needed. Liaison with the Building and Office Services vendors for New York Office Gather Sample boxes in preparation for pickup. Keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed. Ensure all supplies are organized and stocked, including keeping kitchen areas stocked with supplies. Review and code invoices for office and all store facility purchases. Report any invoicing discrepancies. Other support of the office as required. (i.e. set up for company meetings, organize conference rooms) Mailroom support functions as backup, including but not limited to receiving packages/freight, delivering packages within the building, creating labels, lifting boxes, and other duties as needed. Conduct routine inspection of office facilities and safety equipment, reporting and addressing issues promptly. Handle general office upkeep, including replacing light fixtures, ceiling tiles and plumbing fixtures. Maintain and organize maintenance supplies and tools, requesting restock when needed. Conduct basic furniture repairs (tightening, adjusting, replacing parts). Support office events, including room setup and post-event breakdown. Position Requirements:Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 years Handyman skills Experience with mailroom operations Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to multi-task, extremely organized with attention to detail. High level of initiative (self-motivation) Ability to lift heavy packages and climb a ladder. Some knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and experience coordinating with contractors. Knowledge of NYC building regulations and safety standards is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, vendors, and building management. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs. Physical Requirements - Ability to walk and inspect large office spaces, lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally work outside regular hours for maintenance or emergencies. This is an onsite job, 5 days per week and weekends on occasion. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
