We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Midwest region. This role involves evaluating and treating individuals with physical or cognitive impairments that limit their ability to perform daily activities. Essential Responsibilities Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies. Practice within the scope defined by the licensing board and demonstrate proficiency in unit-specific competencies, policies, and procedures. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop, implement, review, and maintain individualized care plans. Provide care to patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics, aiming to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques. Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies. Offer clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed. General Responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not include supervisory or management duties. Minimum Qualifications Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance. Current Occupational Therapy licensure through the appropriate state board. Valid BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a similar clinical environment is advantageous. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of Occupational Therapy principles. Effective communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Requirements This role involves medium work, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds. Approximately 26-50% of the workday may involve standing or walking.
