Job Description Join the team at AMB West for a summer internship providing mental health counseling services on site in Paradise Valley. The intern in this position will provide mental health counseling services on site for employees of AMB West at MSGR and WCR. This is a great fit for you if you are passionate about providing mental health support for communities in rural settings. You will also have the benefit of working in a beautiful environment surrounded by the Montana landscape along the Yellowstone River between Livingston and Gardiner. Role and Responsibilities Meeting with clients on site for individual counseling for up to 8 hours per week unless otherwise instructed. Completing new client intakes. Marketing counseling services to AMB West employees. Coordinating scheduling of counseling sessions. Developing treatment plans. Completing all documentation within 48 hours of the service provided. Active engagement in clinical supervision for a minimum of 1 hour per week. Ongoing communication with clinical counseling supervisors of clinical work and other topics as needed. Crisis response as needed. Attending administrative meetings as needed. Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner. Following all policies and procedures as advised by AMB West and the clinical counseling supervisor. Adhering to ACA and state ethics and laws. Miscellaneous duties as needed. Transportation This position requires driving to MSGR and WCR in Paradise Valley that will include navigating dirt roads maintained by the Forest Service. Additional information can be provided if needed. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree. Active enrollment in a counseling master's degree program. Successful completion of a counseling master's degree practicum. Active enrollment in a counseling master's degree internship course. Preferred Skills While not required, an ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or experience working in rural settings, wilderness settings, and/or seasonal employment positions.
