National Contracting Center (NCC) is seeking an Agent & Agency Onboarding Specialist to guide independent Medicare insurance agents and agencies (1099 contractors) through the process of launching and growing their business with NCC. In this role, you will help agents navigate carrier contracting, certifications, and onboarding requirements while ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed. You'll serve as a trusted guide during a critical stage of an agent's business journey-helping independent professionals get fully set up so they can begin helping seniors make confident healthcare coverage decisions. Important to Know This role supports independent Medicare insurance agents and agencies (1099 contractors) - not employee HR onboarding. You will be helping independent business owners launch or grow their insurance businesses by guiding them through licensing, certifications, and insurance carrier contracting. This position is not a sales role, and you will not be selling insurance products. Your work ensures agents are set up correctly, supported effectively, and prepared to begin helping seniors across the country. What You'll Do Guide Agents Through Onboarding Support independent Medicare agents and agencies through the onboarding process, including carrier contracting, certifications, and required steps before they begin selling. Deliver a World-Class Agent Experience Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, answering questions, setting expectations, and ensuring agents feel confident throughout the process. Coordinate Across Teams Work closely with recruiting, contracting, marketing, training, commissions, and sales support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Track Progress and Maintain Data Document onboarding progress, communications, and milestones in CRM systems to ensure visibility and coordination across the organization. Support Agent Success Help agents understand training resources, marketing opportunities, and strategies to launch and grow their businesses. Stay Current on the Medicare Market Maintain a strong understanding of senior insurance products and industry changes that impact agents and agencies. A Typical Day Might Include Walking a new Medicare agent through their carrier contracting steps Troubleshooting a certification or licensing requirement Answering onboarding questions from a new agency partner Coordinating with recruiting or contracting teams on next steps Tracking agent onboarding progress in CRM systems Helping an agent plan their training and launch timeline Ensuring agents are fully prepared before transitioning them to sales support This Role Is a Great Fit If You Enjoy helping independent professionals succeed Are comfortable guiding people through complex processes Thrive in high-volume onboarding or customer success environments Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Communicate confidently by phone, email, and video Enjoy solving problems and improving processes Like working with both people and systems Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience in onboarding, implementation, customer success, account management, or client support Experience working with CRM systems Strong technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable spending significant time communicating by phone Preferred Qualifications Experience with Medicare or senior insurance products Experience supporting independent contractors or insurance agents Experience with Field Marketing Organizations (FMOs) or insurance carriers Familiarity with Salesforce Entrepreneurial experience or experience working with independent business owners Location This role may be: In-office or hybrid in the Knoxville, TN metro area Remote for candidates residing in TN, GA, SC, FL, MI, MO, VA, PA, TX or KS.
