Job Description We are seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee and optimize daily plant operations within a dynamic assembly and metal fabrication environment. This is a key leadership role that balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, championing both production excellence and team development. In this role, you'll lead both the Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams, working closely with senior leadership to align production goals with long-term organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes-especially in metal welding-and a passion for continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of production and manufacturing engineering in a plant setting. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues across departments. Supervise and mentor team members in both union and non-union environments. Analyze production data, developing and implementing corrective action plans as needed. Collaborate with engineering teams on capital projects and modernization initiatives. Manage annual operating budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control. Develop and maintain robust safety programs focused on continuous improvement. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to drive performance and accountability. Promote open communication and a team-first culture across departments. Implement formal process improvements to drive productivity, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. Ensure production timelines meet customer demand while upholding top-tier quality standards. Support initiatives related to health and safety, quality control, scrap reduction, and employee engagement. Job Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred). 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, ideally within a metal welding environment. 3-5 years managing operations with multiple integrated functions (e.g., Production, Engineering). Strong track record of solving complex problems in a manufacturing context. Demonstrated servant leadership skills with a focus on team development. Proficient in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels. Preferences: Experience with custom and repeatable metal working production environments. Background in pressure vessel or related heavy manufacturing industries. Familiarity with managing teams in unionized settings. Prior involvement in capital investment or plant modernization initiatives.
