Job Description & Responsibilities The Team Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the operations of our stores. This key individual is tasked with maintaining our high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness at all times. The Team Supervisor will step in as the main leader when the Store Leader or Multi-Unit Leader is unavailable. A flexible schedule is essential to ensure full coverage during all operating hours. This position involves managing the following: People Development Ensure new hires are onboarded effectively, acclimating them to operational and service functions. Lead by example to uphold high standards and educate each team member. Identify potential leaders among baristas and foster their development. Operational Standards Guarantee execution of operational standards as prescribed. Assist in training teams on new menus and operational changes, ensuring thorough follow-up. Maintain adherence to health standards, always being prepared for inspections. Regularly check quality standards for taste, presentation, and stock rotation. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well merchandised at all times. Service Standards Work alongside teams to exemplify 5-star service. Coach teams to prioritize the guest experience, regardless of side tasks. Effectively manage customer concerns and guide teams in doing the same. Cultivate relationships with customers, remembering names and faces. Build a database of customer contacts for local marketing initiatives. Minimize guest complaints and proactively address online feedback. Facilities & Maintenance Regularly clean, service, and maintain equipment and fixtures. Hold monthly meetings to assign deep cleaning tasks. Respond swiftly to major facility concerns that could impact business. HR Management Ensure compliance with employee labor laws within the team. Communicate any changes in labor laws promptly. Proactively manage employee relations through regular check-ins. Collaborate with leadership for necessary coaching or disciplinary actions. Financial Performance Monitor controllable areas such as sales, labor, and costs of goods sold. Build customer relationships that promote revenue outside the store. Create efficient schedules informed by sales data. Manage payroll reconciliation for accuracy. Handle cash responsibilities efficiently, including deposits and reconciliations. Track inventory and waste to maintain stock without overspending. Complete and submit monthly inventory counts accurately. Additional Expectations This is a hands-on role; the Team Supervisor will frequently engage with the team to drive success. Flexibility is crucial; the Supervisor's schedule will vary based on business needs and team development.
