Job Description

As a Senior Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and coordinating Pearson's global benefits programs. Your mission will be to ensure that our benefits operations are aligned with organizational goals while delivering exceptional employee experiences across various regions. About the Role: This strategic position supports the execution of benefits initiatives globally. You will act as a central point of contact for aligning benefits operations with organizational priorities, ensuring a consistent and efficient delivery of programs. In this role, you will: Shape and execute the benefits vision of the organization while improving issue management and reducing operational fragmentation. Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and leadership to ensure that our benefits offerings meet both business objectives and workforce needs. Oversee daily benefits administration, focusing on regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Benefits Operations & Administration: Manage day-to-day administration of health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs across countries. Lead the end-to-end benefits processes to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency. Resolve complex benefits issues by collaborating with payroll, finance, legal, and external partners. Strategy, Coordination & Improvement: Support the execution of global benefits initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Identify operational insights and risks, proactively escalating them for informed decision-making. Drive continuous improvement and explore automation opportunities for scalable solutions. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Actively partner with stakeholders to gather functional requirements and communicate benefits changes effectively. Develop communication campaigns to educate employees and managers about benefits. Enhance the overall benefits experience by gathering and integrating stakeholder feedback. Compliance, Reporting & Data Management: Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements across multiple regions. Deliver insightful reporting on plan utilization to senior leadership. Manage integration of data from various sources, maintaining accuracy and security. Collaboration & Ways of Working: Work effectively in a matrixed, virtual environment, supporting a distributed workforce. Collaborate with global teams to support benefits roadmap delivery and local implementation needs. Skills & Experience: 6+ years of experience in benefits, total rewards, or benefits administration. Experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring benefits compliance. Proficient in HRIS platforms and benefits systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication abilities for effective stakeholder collaboration. Highly organized, with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $95,000, with eligibility for an annual incentive program and additional information on benefits available.
